Medical Systems Support Engineer
Position: Full Time Permanent role
Location: Based in our Guildford offices, supporting clients in South UK but may be required to provide client visits from time to time.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Medical Systems Support Engineer to install, support, repair and perform preventative maintenance on Natus EEG/EMG and Micromed EEG specialised diagnostic equipment in order to provide high levels of customer satisfaction. The role involves support by phone and remote access as well as extensive travel to hospitals throughout the UK and Ireland to resolve customer issues. This is an office based role that will be based out of our Guildford office and will also require some adhoc travel across South of the UK supporting customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
When allocated, act as the first and second line for customer telephone support for all Optima support issues.
Provide onsite customer support for issues where a site visit is required and/or more appropriate than telephone or remote support.
To troubleshoot, diagnose and repair customer systems in the most economical way.
Report support status on a weekly basis to the Customer Support Manager.
To conduct all planned preventative maintenance in a professional and timely manner following standard procedures, ensuring that all safety and functional tests are completed.
Ability to complete detailed reports.
Working from a prioritised build list to assemble and configure systems to include imaging PCs, configuring systems and cameras.
To test all configured systems prior to shipping.
To advise when the system is ready in order that assembled systems can be checked and shipped on a timely basis ready for installation and invoicing.
Complete the installation of EMG products (single or dual systems) ensuring there is an appropriate handover to the Product Specialist for user training and configuration.
Complete the installation of single system EEG installations and work as part of a team for the installation of larger networked EEG installations.
Configure systems onto hospital networks and complete installation checklist.
Core Skills and Qualifications:
Individuals at this level typically have 1–2 years of relevant professional experience.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is favorable (e.g., Electronics engineering, etc.).
Experience with HL7 rules and formats as well as Asure cloud software are highly advantageous.
Proven experience of diagnosing and repairing diagnostic medical equipment.
Strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to effectively contribute to sales activities.
Experience should include contributing to team projects, managing components of assignments, and applying standard practices with increasing confidence.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
