Position: Electrician (Ruby Hill)
i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Electrician. The Electrician would safely maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair electrical power and control systems and equipment throughout surface mine and process operations. This role will support the achievement of safe, efficient production targets in our growing operation.
Location: Ruby Hill Mine, Eureka, Nevada
Roster: 4-days on / 3-days off – Monday through Thursday
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems to keep production running safely and reliably
Install, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on a variety of instrumentation and control systems
Provide constant evaluation of equipment condition and acceptable standards for electrical maintenance
Perform maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on power generating equipment and distribution systems
Ensure compliance with relevant company health & safety policies and procedures as well as government regulations
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Preferred candidate will have a Certificate of Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent formal electrical training or certification
Minimum three or more years’ electrical experience in a mining environment highly preferred
High proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematic, one-line, logic and interconnection diagrams and drawings
Thorough knowledge of electrical theory in both AC and DC controls and systems
Proficiency in the safe use of electrical test meters, instruments, computers, and recorders
Thorough knowledge of the safe operation and safe maintenance work practices of electrical systems and equipment
Strong ability to drive positive safety culture throughout organization required including familiarity with MSHA regulations
Ability to work with team members and contract partners throughout the organization in a positive, professional manner required
Good written and verbal communication skills required
