Head of Accounting – France & Luxembourg

Key Responsabilities:

Statutory & Financial Reporting

• Own and deliver statutory financial statements for France and Luxembourg in accordance with local GAAP, IFRS, and NTT DATA Group policies.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, aligned with group reporting calendars.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, statutory authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the CFO in statutory reporting, governance discussions, and financial disclosures.

Accounting Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks (including J-SOX where applicable).
• Maintain strong balance sheet governance, reconciliations, and accounting documentation.
• Drive Consistent application of NTT DATA accounting policies across the France & Luxembourg sub-region.
• Identify accounting risks and proactively escalate issues to the CFO.

Support to Controlling, FP&A & Business Partnering

• Provide reliable and accurate actuals to support Controlling analysis and performance reporting.
• Support FP&A by ensuring consistency between actuals, forecasts, and planning assumptions (without owning planning cycles).
• Partner with Finance Business Partners by enabling clear explanations of financial results and variances.
• Act as a trusted accounting advisor for complex topics (revenue recognition, provisions, intercompany, leases).

CFO Support & Executive Interface

•  Support the CFO in statutory reporting, governance, audits, and financial risk management.
• Provide expert input for board, management, and regulatory presentations.
• Contribute to regional finance strategy and transformation initiatives.

Process Excellence & Transformation

• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, including ERP, automation, and standardization.
• Ensure strong collaboration with shared services and offshore accounting teams where applicable.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop the France & Accounting team, ensuring clear roles, accountability, and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure appropriate backup, knowledge transfer, and resilience within the accounting function.

Scope & Auhority

• Regional accountability for accounting and statutory reporting (France & Luxembourg).
• People management responsibility for the accounting team.
• Final Authority on accounting interpretation within the sub-region, in line with Group policies.

• CFO France & Luxembourg.
• FP&A, and Head of Finance Business Partnering (France & Luxembourg)
• GBSS
• External auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• NTT DATA Group Finance and Accounting Teams.

Skills & Experience

• Strong technical accounting background (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Proven experience in statutory reporting and audit management.
• Ability to partner with senior finance and business leaders.
• Experience in a complex, international organization.
• Leadership experience managing accounting teams over multiple countries.
• Knowledge accounting rules and trends for both countries with ability to assess their impact for management and assist in the implementation of such rules.
