Role & Responsibilities:
Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position) :
As the Senior Manager Retail Marketing in APAC Marketing, you will manage the Visual Merchandising for all retail touch points inclusive of DTC, DTP, Commercial Pop-ups and wholesale.
This role will oversee the creative, production and operational aspects of the Visual Merchandising department.
In this role, you will collaborate with the APAC markets, global functions, and within marketing as well as with retail and merch counterparts to align and lead the deployment our general and campaign VM drops.
You will lead providing clear, consistent direction and guidelines of how we deliver against the priorities by establishing seasonal plans outlining all the VM drops.
You will directly manage a team and have oversight of the VM budget and will ensure the resources are allocated to optimize the most consumer impact.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving team effectiveness, building trusting collaborative partnerships, being a self-starter, and problem solver with exceptional organizational skills. This role requires creative eye, ideation and an understanding of what excites the consumer at retail level.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the creative and production output of the VM department.
• Drive the VM process and roll out for retail marketing with help from the GTM and Planning leads.
• Help the Head of Marketing optimize the seasonal development of ideas across the region and produce impactful solutions that surprise the consumer.
• Fight the peel off rate of footfall with fresh new concepts.
• Monitor store level executions, with surprise store visits and technology that tracks store VM. Also ensure that stores general VM is on point and executed to a high quality.
• Retail story telling that helps the consumer understand the product and franchises that we have to offer.
• Key integration partner with Global VM team to receive updates, toolkits, and key information. Critical partner to share key information to market stakeholders on launch date changes, campaign and VM toolkits.
• Facilitate weekly VM meetings to ensure the VM team across the region are aligned with plans and expectations
• Support ad hoc requests as they arise.
Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in a creative, fast-paced, and complex marketing environment.
- Process-oriented person, that can bring new creative vision to the table.
- Visual Merchandising acumen with familiarity of Retail Marketing discipline and its application.
- Strong people skills to help drive collaboration, integration, and working across teams to build effective relationships.
- Excellent visual communication and deck building skills in PPT and/or Keynote.
- Ability to create impactful creative concepts and producing easy to follow guidelines for store staff to follow.
- Strong communicator.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Manage staff engaged in presenting the company’s products and promotional materials* Create innovative and creative in-store visual design concepts and seasonal plans* Develop the layout policy for the company’s products in the various sales points* Coordinate the activities of the visual merchandisers, assuring the respect of the company’s policy and setting objectives and responsibilities* Take part in the planning and implementation of promotional initiatives
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field *Equivalent years of experience in a substantially similar industry may be considered in lieu of a degree to be determined by the nature of the specific job and the hiring manager’s criteria* Generally eight years of progressive experience with two years of supervisory experience* Strong organization and communication skills
