The Opportunity
To help manage our global supplier base, partnering with the Category Manager to drive strategy, improve cost efficiency and build strong supplier relationships while working closely with Procurement, Packaging, NPD, Quality and ESG teams in a hands-on, cross-functional role suited to someone analytical, organised and motivated by the complexity of global beauty supply chains.
What you'll get to do
CATEGORY MANAGEMENT
- Prepare and present Category Reviews in close collaboration with the Category Manager.
- Track category priorities and monitor strategic initiatives through dashboards and reporting tools.
- Work cross-functionally with Purchasing NPD, Optimization, Procurement, Quality, Packaging and ESG teams.
COST EFFICIENCY
- Maintain and update the Price Index Dashboard, tracking raw material and packaging market trends.
- Lead price negotiations with suppliers and support the annual quota arrangement process.
- Manage supplier tariff updates in SAP and resolve billing incidents through the Price Tracker tool.
CATEGORY PERFORMANCE
- Analyse data to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains and supply chain improvement.
- Contribute to building a resilient and agile supply chain across your categories.
- Identify capacity bottlenecks and coordinate solutions with the Procurement team.
SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (SRM)
- Prepare and lead annual Business Reviews with strategic suppliers, defining clear action plans.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and drive follow-up on agreed commitments.
- Participate in S&OP meetings to align on capacity, demand forecasts and material requirements.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Partner with teams across Industrial Logistics, Supply Planning, Quality, NPD and Global Purchasing to deliver seamless category execution.
- Support Puig's ESG agenda by identifying sustainability priorities by category and tracking progress.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (EUDR, FSC, CBAM) through data management and process support.
We'd love to meet you if you have
Background
- University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
- Postgraduate training in Purchasing, Operations or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, category management, procurement, supply chain or consultancy.
- Exposure to multinational or industrial environments — beauty, FMCG or packaging sectors is a bonus.
- Some experience with international suppliers and negotiation processes is valued.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; comfortable working with large datasets and dashboards.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Familiarity with cost databases, KPI reporting and Category Management frameworks.
Languages
- English: C1 or above — essential for day-to-day work with international suppliers and teams.
- Spanish: professional proficiency.
- French or other languages are a welcome addition.
