Job Description

Position Summary:

Using hot/cold draw liner to size and pull through pipes, trim, and cut liners, while loading and unloading pipe from relaxing ovens.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Hot / cold draw liner to size using dies and pullers.
  • Trim / cut liner to length and install sleeves as required prior to oven-relax cycle.
  • Load / unload pipe from relaxing ovens in accordance with oven-relax procedures and trim as needed.
  • Flare liner on appropriate flaring equipment according to manufacturing procedures
  • Trim / bore flared liner as required and test flare thickness in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
  • Spark / hydrostatic test liner for cracks and holes
  • Clean pipe ID of any dirt or scale and mask for painting where required.
  • Load and unload pipe from painting machine and manually paint around flanges.
  • Inspect all parts and workmanship (TCQ) in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
  • Perform material handling functions using hand trucks and carts.
  • Report production and labor on VTD and work order traveller.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift.
  • Operator must have basic blueprint reading skills to interpret engineering drawings and specifications necessary to perform job.
  • Operator must have good hand-eye coordination, grip strength and dexterity to handle and assemble products using hand and machine tools at established production standards.
  • Operator must have ability to read measuring instruments not limited to but including tape measure, thickness gage, thermometers, and callipers.
  • Operator must have basic reading / writing ability to read and interpret manufacturing orders and material requirements and to report production.
  • Operator must have basic math skills including addition / subtraction of fractions and decimal values for determining material, manufacturing, and inspection requirements.
