We are searching for an experienced Business and Partnership Officer to work on the Katalis Phase II program in Jakarta, Indonesia. Program Overview Katalis Phase II (2026–2031) is a partnership between the governments of Australia and Indonesia, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and implemented in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia. The program strengthens bilateral economic engagement under the Indonesia–Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA‑CEPA) through two mutually reinforcing pillars: • Pillar 1: IA‑CEPA institutional architecture policy reform (secretariat and implementation support). • Pillar 2: Skills, Businesses Inclusive Growth, including the Katalis Business Partnership Fund (KBPF) to test, scale, and commercialize inclusive, climate‑smart business models with Indonesian SMEs and Australian partners. Primary Responsibilities Partnership Implementation and Coordination • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Katalis Business Partnership Fund (KBPF) strategy. • Act as the primary day-to-day focal point for partners, supporting effective communication, coordination, and issue resolution. • Coordinate implementation activities with the Business Partnership Manager, ensuring that emerging market insights, commercial considerations, and operational constraints identified during delivery are communicated promptly. • Monitor partnership budgets, including forecasting and expenditure tracking, ensuring timely financial reporting. • Under the guidance of the Business Partnership Manager, ensure partnerships are implemented in ways that achieve scale and sustainability. Performance, Results, and Impact Tracking • Monitor partnership progress against agreed outputs and outcomes to support Katalis objectives. • Work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team to collect, validate, and document performance and impact data according to the MEL Framework. • Use implementation level evidence to support adaptive management and continuous improvement. Evidence Based Analysis and Learning • Compile implementation insights, operational lessons, and emerging evidence from assigned partnerships. • Contribute to learning products, case studies, and portfolio level analysis for KBPF and the broader Katalis program. • Document and analyze market constraints, partnership level barriers, and enabling factors identified during implementation, and incorporate these insights into Katalis strategy development. Risk Management, Compliance, and Safeguards • Support partners to meet compliance requirements, including DFAT and Palladium safeguarding, environmental, and social standards. • Identify implementation risks early and escalate issues to the Business Partnership Manager. • Maintain accurate partnership documentation to support accountability, audit, and reporting requirements.
