About the Position
As an Engineer Backend T Cloud Public - Container, you will play a crucial role in shaping and advancing our highly available and scalable container infrastructure within the T Cloud Public. You will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and optimization of solutions leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Your expertise in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) will be essential for establishing automated deployment pipelines and ensuring efficient software delivery. You will work with Microservices Architectures and REST APIs to develop and maintain high-performance and robust backend systems. A deep understanding of OpenStack, combined with a strong focus on infrastructure automation and network services, will be key to managing and evolving our cloud platform. We expect proactive collaboration within agile development teams to continuously deliver value and drive innovative solutions.
Your Tasks
As an Engineer you understand the latest developments in cloud and container technology. You will develop and enhance our T Cloud Public platform in a customer-oriented manner. You want:
- Solve complex problems in the daily operation of a hyper-scaler's cloud backend.
- Work hardware-oriented at the console and get your hands "dirty".
- Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance.
- Consistently automate with common automation frameworks.
- Work in a team of specialists where everyone helps each other in an open and trusting manner.
Your Profile
- Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training.
- 5-7 years of professional experience in IT with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
- Very good knowledge of software defined networks, routing, firewalls and physical networks.
- Extensive knowledge in infrastructure automation.
- Strong experience in Linux and network related services.
- High level of customer focus.
- Knowledge of agile development processes.
- Ability to assess technical solutions and come up with creative approaches.
- OpenStack and programming experience in open source projects is a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- You will be working in the European Union to meet our customers' data security and privacy requirements.
