We believe in the power of unique perspectives and want all voices in our organisation to be heard, respected and valued. A supportive workplace is one where employees feel they can be themselves and operate to their full potential. We are committed to removing barriers for everyone, with a focus on addressing those faced by underrepresented groups.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead product development across the FT Locations portfolio while helping shape the future of data products across FT Specialist.

This is a unique opportunity to own a portfolio of high-value B2B data products, driving strategic product initiatives including major product rebuilds, redesigns and the development of new capabilities. Alongside leading delivery across FT Locations, you will play an influential role in the evolution of Mint, FT Specialist’s shared data pipeline initiative, helping create scalable data capabilities that support multiple products across the portfolio.

The role combines hands-on product leadership with strategic thinking and is ideally suited to someone with deep experience building data-driven products and translating complex data capabilities into meaningful customer value.

Key Responsibilities

FT Locations Product Leadership

  • Lead product development across the FT Locations portfolio, balancing strategic initiatives with ongoing product delivery.
  • Drive the next phase of the fDi Markets rebuild, including design completion, user testing, delivery and launch planning.
  • Lead the delivery of the ZoomProspector user interface redesign and define the roadmap for new AI-powered search capabilities.
  • Identify and evaluate new product opportunities that leverage emerging data capabilities and support future portfolio growth.
  • Manage incoming product requests and prioritise work effectively across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Define product direction and ensure delivery aligns with business objectives and customer needs.

Data Product Strategy and Mint Initiative

  • Contribute to the development of Mint, FT Specialist’s shared data pipeline and product capability framework.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on data products across FT Specialist.
  • Help shape how data is collected, structured and delivered into products.
  • Translate emerging data capabilities into scalable product features and practical use cases.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse capabilities across products and reduce duplication.
  • Collaborate with wider FT data initiatives to ensure alignment and maximise organisational impact.
  • Bring external market insight and best practice to support the development of innovative data products.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

  • Partner closely with engineering, data, commercial, editorial and design teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making without formal authority.
  • Navigate ambiguity, bringing clarity, structure and direction to complex initiatives.
  • Promote experimentation, learning and iterative product development practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Significant product management experience, ideally within B2B, SaaS or data-driven product environments.
  • Proven track record of leading complex product initiatives from discovery through delivery and launch.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities across a portfolio of products and initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Data Product Expertise

  • Experience building or managing data products rather than solely data-enabled features.
  • Strong understanding of how data is structured, processed and delivered within product environments.
  • Experience working with data models, taxonomies or complex datasets.
  • Understanding of data pipelines and data lifecycle management, including ingestion, transformation and output processes.
  • Experience working with APIs or data access layers.
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear customer, business and commercial value.

Desirable

  • Experience applying AI or machine learning capabilities within product environments.
  • Familiarity with SQL or direct interaction with data platforms and datasets.
  • Knowledge of financial services, investment data, foreign direct investment (FDI) markets or regulatory information products.
  • Experience working within subscription-based information or data businesses.
