Position Overview:
The Buyer/Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the timely flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain. This position is responsible for planning production, purchasing materials, and coordinating closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to support customer demand.
The successful candidate will use data-driven decision-making to balance inventory levels, production schedules, and customer delivery requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys collaborating with different departments to improve operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, Schedule and Release production orders/purchase orders to maximize on-time delivery to customers while minimizing inventory and operational costs.
Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand including creation of production schedule and job order priorities.
Review, update and maintain replenishment systems
Establish and maintain cost reduction, lead time reduction and inventory reduction programs with suppliers to support company goals.
Communication with engineering and quality assurance to interpret and establish technical requirements.
Collaborate with shop floor management daily to resolve manufacturing efficiency issues and provide requested information to manufacturing and customer service teams.
Actively support the implementation of Regal’s Business System/ Lean manufacturing processes.
Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials planning within a manufacturing setting.
Working knowledge of replenishment systems such as Kanban, visual management, or similar inventory control methods.
Experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and related business systems.
APICS/ASCM certification or related supply chain certification is a plus.

Expected Base Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
