Job Description
- Lead onsite commissioning, including pre-functional inspections, functional performance testing, and system validation.
- Support the Project Manager as the technical point of contact during commissioning for internal teams and clients.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, aligned with project milestones.
- Verify electrical installations on equipment including but not limited to motors, VFDs, heaters, control panels, sensors, and safety devices.
- Review and validate wiring diagrams, control schematics, and power distribution related factory designed systems.
- Perform or oversee electrical testing such as continuity checks, insulation resistance, voltage verification, and amp draw measurements.
- Confirm systems operate to design intent, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Produce clear and detailed commissioning reports and test results.
- Verify vendor startup documentation and commissioning records are complete and accurate.
- Support turnover documentation and assist with client training where required.

- Must be able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, and third-party site contractors
- Must be comfortable with frequent travel to job sites and working outdoors in an active construction environment
- Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commissioning or startup experience in industrial or large commercial systems.
- Journeyman Electrician license, Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, Experience working with live systems in active construction or operational environments.
- Strong electrical background, including power distribution, motor controls, and control panels.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heaters, and VFDs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and mechanical plans.
- Understanding on on-site safety assessments, such as but not limited to Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience commissioning heat rejection systems in data centers, industrial plants, or mission-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls integration.
- Commissioning certifications (CxA, CCP, or similar) are a plus.

Pay Range: $67,392 - $79,872 per year
