The position is based at our Mississauga facility, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

This position is for a lead Drafting Services / Product Definition technician who is under minimal supervision. Performs complex drafting duties by operating Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Typical Roles/Area of Focus:
Incumbent's responsibilities will generally focus on one or more of the following:
Assembly drawing, clearance and tolerance chart, 3D model.
Creation/Maintenance of 3D Digital Mock-Ups (DMU)
Designing engine cross-section, and engine proposal for future customers.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Review layout requirements, produce/revise and verify all drawings and related documents used to define parts, assemblies, and complete engines, utilizing as appropriate, computer aided drafting systems, other "on-line" computer systems and methods, ensuring compliance with prevailing procedures.
Provide technical assistance and support through all detail design phases.
Provide technical direction to draftsperson involved in the preparation of drawings and related documents with respect to less complex designs and redesigns (DMU, EMU).
Work to achieve or surpass P&WC, EPLM & EPD Mission, goals and Quality requirements.
Works safely and complies With the P&WC Environment, Health & Safety rules, standards, and best work practices.
Ensure that Engineering Changes or Releases are fully documented, and that other supporting paperwork is complete and correct prior to submitting for approval and subsequent release.
Provide technical direction and instruction to junior levels of draftspersons involved.
What You Will Learn
Successful candidate will learn skills specific to the Drafting discipline at the Major Assembly and Aircraft Integration levels.
What do you need to be successful?
Requires knowledge of Mechanical Drafting, equivalent to a minimum College Technical Diploma
Have a general knowledge of all applicable computer programs used in Drafting/Design (especially CATIA V5) for the preparation of Layouts/Product Definition data and maintain an appropriate understanding of Product Lifecycle Management database (such as Enovia and VPM).
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in/with Dassault Systemes 3DX Software.
Experience in/with Siemen’s Smarteam Software.
