Under general supervision, performs highly responsible machine work in maintaining zoological park buildings and equipment to enhance visitor experience and care for the animal collection.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs highly responsible machine work in maintaining zoological park buildings and equipment to enhance visitor experience and care for the animal collection.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Performs general maintenance or specialized work with regard to metal, welding, cement and stonework.
- Tasks include masonry repair, fabrication of steel, stainless steel and aluminum animal enclosures, gates and fences along with general repair of machinery.
- Assemble scaffolding
- Operate compressor, torch, or other machine shop equipment.
- Will be required to respond to snow and storm related emergencies to assist with removal and clean-up operations during normal and off-normal business hours
- Perform related tasks and duties as required.
