Job Description
Position Summary
TRANZACT is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join its FP&A department; he/she will be part of a collaborative team and work closely with other departments within TRANZACT in the preparation and analysis of timely and accurate financial information. As part of the Finance team, the Junior Financial Analyst will be involved in budgeting and forecasting processes and in developing financial reports and models to support different business units across the company.
Responsibilities for this role include partnering directly with the Director of FP&A on cash management, including forecasting, tracking, and analyzing cash receipts and disbursements, in addition to other FP&A responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial modeling. This is a highly data-driven role, requiring a strong command of large datasets, financial modeling, and analytical tools to produce insights that directly influence business decisions.
The role will contribute to financial modeling for strategic company initiatives — both internal (operational improvements, workforce planning, cost optimization) and external (partnerships, growth opportunities, board-level presentations).
The Responsibilities of a Senior Financial Analyst include:
• Supporting end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with the FP&A team and business unit owners to consolidate inputs and ensure plan integrity.
• Building and maintaining data-driven financial models that leverage large datasets to support performance monitoring at the department and company level.
• Supporting financial modeling for strategic initiatives — including new business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and scenario planning — for both internal decision-making and external-facing materials.
• Supporting the monthly financial close process, working closely with the accounting department and other stakeholders.
• Building business analytics reports and dashboards to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Forecasting, tracking, and reconciling cash inflows and outflows — including revenue receipts, client commissions, COGS, and corporate overhead — against plan, identifying variances and escalating discrepancies.
• Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, HR, Accounting, and others) to gather cash projection inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with cash targets.
• Maintaining ownership of cash operating and financial reporting (actuals vs. forecast, KPIs, reconciliations) for different divisions within TRANZACT.
Qualifications:
• 1 year of pertinent work experience in FP&A, financial modeling, cash management, or a similar analytical finance role. Recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds in Finance, Accounting, or Economics are encouraged to apply..
• Advanced English level.
• Excel proficient with experience modeling large volumes of data, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and dynamic financial models.
• Strong data orientation — comfortable pulling, transforming, and interpreting large datasets to drive financial insights.
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI (modeling datasets and designing dashboards).
• SQL basic proficiency (Select, Update, Delete queries) for data extraction and analysis.
• Python basic proficiency for data analysis (reading and modeling data frames).
• Solid analytical abilities, combined with being detail-oriented and diligent.
• Results Orientation — Demonstrating a focus on delivering high-quality outputs on time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear narratives for non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to “think outside the box,” manage shifting priorities, and adapt quickly to a constantly changing business environment.
What we would love to see:
• Knowledge of the insurance or BPO/contact center industry is a plus.
• Prior experience in financial planning tools.
• Experience with cash flow forecasting or cost control modeling.
• Academic or internship experience in financial modeling or data analysis.
