Position Summary: As a Senior Buyer at Winchester Interconnect, you will lead the strategic transformation of our procurement initiatives at the Dayville, CT facility. This role demands a hands-on professional capable of balancing high-level strategy with daily execution. You will be responsible for architecting a world-class supply chain by optimizing the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle and proactively mitigating global risks. Serving as a strategic liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring our operations remain lean, innovative, and market-leading.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

As a member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for supporting driving the strategic and operational purchasing goals for our wire, cable, and harness manufacturing facility in Dayville, CT. To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Data Analysis & Actionable Insight: Proven ability to analyze complex supply chain data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and take decisive action to ensure material availability.
  • Multi-Tasking & Prioritization: Exceptional ability to prioritize several high-urgency tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to implement procurement strategies and management systems to standardize processes.
  • Performance Metrics: Expertise in monitoring and achieving key KPIs, including Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD), supplier quality,  material lead time reduction, and cost savings targets.
  • Financial & Material Productivity: Ability to drive Material Productivity and align procurement activities with the Group’s financial goals and operating income targets.
  • Inventory & Supplier Strategy: Experience in reducing raw material complexity, understanding and implementing inventory strategies to support operational strategies, & managing price rebalancing and negotiations with suppliers.
  • Critical Industry Expertise: Extensive, proven experience specifically within the wire and cable or cable harness manufacturing industry is desired. Candidates must demonstrate an intimate understanding of the unique material requirements, supplier landscapes, and technical specifications inherent to this sector.
  • Systems Proficiency: Technical skill in utilizing Google Enterprise, local ERP systems (such as Infor Visual), and talent management software is desired.

Pay Transparency: 

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is up to $90,000/annually DOE per year, plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
