Location: Building 3210, Kleber Kaserne, Kaiserslautern, Germany

Position Overview: The Candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Kleber Barracks Army Community Service (ACS) Information and Referral Program. This role involves providing comprehensive and accurate ACS and community information to newcomers and long-term community members alike. By acting as a central point of contact, the Community Information Specialist will ensure that individuals have access to a wide range of essential information, contributing to a positive and informed community experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals seeking ACS and community information, both newcomers and long-term residents.
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date, and relevant information regarding community resources, services, events, programs, and facilities.
  • Assist newcomers in acclimating to the community by offering guidance on essential services, educational opportunities, recreational activities, and local amenities.
  • Collaborate closely with the ACS team to ensure consistent and comprehensive information dissemination to the community.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the local community and the resources available, remaining knowledgeable about changes, updates, and new developments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Customer-focused approach with a genuine passion for assisting individuals and enhancing their community experience.
  • Familiarity with military community services and resources is a plus.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the diverse needs of community members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
