Summary
Reporting to the Site Manager and functionally to HUB HSE Manager, the mission of this function is to perform the BIA Group HSE policy and programs.
What will be your responsibilities?
1.Global :
- Participate at the promotion of a safe and healthy environment on site
- Improve HSE culture and HSE management system implemented
1.1 Planning
Risk assessment:
- Keep hazard identifications and risk assessments up to date.
- Ensure that the controls in place are coherent, necessary and sufficient
1.2 Regulatory watch
- Participate at the identification of HSE regulations and other requirements applicable to BIA activities.
- Periodically check compliance with legal requirements and other relevant requirements
1.3 Annual HSE plans
- Participate to implementation of the annual HSE Plan
- Monitor annual HSE Plan
1.4 Emergency plan
- Implement periodic emergency drills in accordance with the customer
- Ensure training for prevention and emergency situation
2. Implementation of the HSE management system:
2.1Training and awareness-raising
- Provide sensitization and HSE training.
- Prepare new comers on site
- Ensure the implementation of the monthly training program on site
2.2Control of operations
- Develop with site staff SOPs for all risk activities
- Participate at regular review of SOPs
- Train and sensitize staff on various SOPs
- Create and implement identity cards and synthesis for tools/equipment and chemicals
- Ensure risk control measures application including management of PPE
2.3Documentation
- Apply and enforce the HSE policy and procedures
- Participate at HSE documents management on Site
3.Monitoring the operation of the HSE management system
3.1HSE Performance
- Ensure that weekly HSE inspections are carried out
- Collect HSE performance data
- Weekly report on HSE indicators
3.2Incidents, accidents and non-conformity
- Report incidents / accidents and non-comformity
- Participate at investigations following accidents, incidents
- Propose corrective and preventive actions
4.Improving the HSE management system
Propose actions to improve the HSE management system
Participate at the periodic reviews of the HSE management system
Who are we looking for?
- At least 2 years’ experience in mine
- Managerial experience at construction sites of at least 3 years
- Knowledge of standards ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 (ISO 14001 is an advantage)
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Expertise in lifting inspection, simple and complex slinging
- Proficient in working at heights and mobile elevating work platform
- Good knowledge of welding hazards and risks
- Good command of RA and SOP skills
Quality:
- Participate to the quality management system creation ISO 9001
- Know, understand and ensure quality procedures and standards are applied
- Pro-actively report improvement opportunities and non-conformity to quality system
ICT Knowledge (Example: SAP, CRM, Qlikview…):
- Microsoft Office
