Position Summary:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling boats based on specific construction orders in compliance with takt times. A variety of tasks are performed to build the components of each boat, requiring the use of both power and non-power hand tools.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained in various types of equipment and processes.
- Ability to use high-speed pneumatic/battery powered tools (drills, drivers etc.) and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Must be able to read drawings and specifications.
- Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policy and hazardous material guidelines.
- Must practice good housekeeping by keeping work areas clean at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior assembly, construction, and/or mechanic experience preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
