Job Description
As a Space System Architecture Subject Matter Expert you will typically work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently. You may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. This work will be in support of Air Force Special Programs with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to achieve cost-effective, long-term, critical capabilities in support of the war-fighting mission of the combatant commanders.
- Bachelors (Masters preferred) in Math, Science or Engineering
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant DoD work experience with no less than four (4) years’ experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last five (5) years.
- You shall have Lead Engineer level engineering skills as well as knowledge and experience establishing, building, fielding, and sustaining secure, trusted, core processing and communications architectures to include: definition and development of open systems architecture standards
- You shall have experience working with cloud computing technologies and developing cloud strategies and architecture artifacts that integrate software, platform, infrastructure, data management, and networking services to build agnostic Command and Control ground systems.
- You shall have knowledge of and experience in the identification of space system information assurance boundaries and definition and approval of security controls for each boundary consistent with the Intelligence Community Directive 503 Risk Management Framework.
- You shall have experience in the development and coordination of comprehensive Space system interoperability requirements both internal to the system and externally to Battle Management, Command and Control (BMC2) elements.
- You shall have experience coordinating people and technical resources across multiple engineering teams within the organization.
