Radiology Tech – X-Ray in Atlanta, GA, US. Travel assignment begins 07/06/2026 for 10 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,552 to $1,678 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: Fri/Sat/Sun, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. 12-hour shifts. Work setting: hospital with ED imaging and on-site laboratory services.

Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic exams (X-ray) using standard radiology equipment; properly position patients and select appropriate exposure factors to produce diagnostic-quality images.
- Operate portable and fixed radiography systems, including examinations in the ED and inpatient units, while adhering to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment; ensure accurate patient identification, order verification, and image labeling; document procedures in the radiology information system (RIS) and PACS.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the broader care team to meet imaging requests; explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety during exams.
- Maintain patient privacy and dignity; follow infection control and safety policies; participate in quality control and routine equipment checks as directed.
- Support a fast-paced hospital environment, including standby imaging and after-hours coverage as needed, while maintaining professional standards.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license or credential as required by Georgia state regulations (or eligible to obtain for placement).
- ARRT registration or equivalent national credential preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain.
- 1+ year of radiography experience in a hospital setting; ED imaging experience preferred.
- Ability to perform 12-hour shifts and adapt to a fast-paced ED/hospital environment.
- Strong patient communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to safety and quality.
