Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) – Saint Louis, Missouri, United States. Travel assignment starting 07/13/2026 for an estimated 3–4 weeks per compliance tier with biweekly start dates. Weekly pay range: $2,108–$2,226. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Unit focus: Neuro/Ortho (MS/Telemetry) on an acute care hospital unit. This role involves float within the MS/Tele service line and requires weekend coverage as part of the schedule.

Key Highlights

- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week for a 3x12 schedule

- Unit setting: Acute care MS/Tele unit focused on adult orthopedic, neurologic, stroke, and general med/surg care

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults on the MS/Tele unit, including orthopedic post-op, neurology, stroke, and general med/surg populations
- Perform telemetry monitoring, IV starts, PICC line care, medication administration, and patient assessments
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the health care team; document in the electronic health record (EPIC) and communicate changes in patient condition
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols; maintain safety and infection control standards
- Support care planning, daily rounds, discharge planning, and patient/family education
- Maintain flexibility to float within the MS/Tele service line as needed (excluding ICU, SDU, and ED)

Requirements
- Licensure: Active RN license to practice in Missouri; pending licenses accepted per candidate with verification; verify state-specific requirements
- Certifications: BLS (BCLS) and NIHSS required; ACLS may be required at some locations and must be obtained by the compliance deadline
- Experience: 2+ years RN experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
- Skills: Telemetry monitoring, stroke/CVA care, IV starts and maintenance, PICC care, total joint replacement/post-op ortho care, and isolation precautions
- Logistics: Ability to work a Nights schedule (3x12); willing to float within the MS/Tele service line; locals not accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Education: RN licensure; completion of pre-start requirements and 38-hour orientation prior to start
