Role Profile
The Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the operation of trading services across LSE and Turquoise venues. This includes processing of admission applications, the enrichment and maintenance of reference data, and implementation of regulatory and market updates, including the review and handling of corporate actions. The Analyst will also assist in developing system enhancements in both departmental and business-wide projects, working closely with Market Operations, Technology and external collaborators.
Team Description
The Equities Operations team is responsible for maintaining trading services and reference data across LSE, Turquoise and associated venues. This includes the management of daily updates to internal and customer facing systems, admissions processing, corporate actions handling, and the execution of both ad-hoc and scheduled changes. The team works closely with internal partners and external market participants to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of services.
The team works on a shift basis with the current service hours between 07:00 and 18:00 UK time.
Department Description
DSM Operations covers Market Operations Services and Client Technology Services. The Market Operations Services team provides the centralised function for the maintenance of key trading services and reference data databases spanning the LSE and Turquoise venues. The department acts as a first point of contact for customers – both issuers and member firms requiring immediate or planned actions. It supports the admission of securities to trading, manages the impact of corporate actions and regulatory change on reference data, and co-ordinates communication with key organisations including EUI, CCPs, UKLA and regulators. The area manages close, operational relationships internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Process applications for admission to trading including input, validation and fee generation in line with applicable rules and standards
Act as a subject matter expert on Admissions processes, supporting internal partners and external clients throughout the admission lifecycle
Liaise with issuers, advisors, NOMADs and other market participants to resolve queries and ensure smooth processing of applications
Maintain oversight of application timelines and ensure delivery in line with market deadlines and service expectations
Maintain instrument data across LSE and Turquoise production platforms, including end of day reference data uploads
Review corporate actions daily using Bloomberg, Regulatory News Services and primary exchange sources, ensuring accurate interpretation and timely updates to instruments and systems
Support the dissemination of corporate action information to customers, ensuring key event details and dates are communicated clearly and in line with required standards
Perform large scheduled changes (e.g. quarterly reviews, ADT updates) and ad-hoc operational updates as required
Review daily and annual regulatory transparency updates and ensure they are accurately reflected in trading and reference data systems
Monitor primary exchange tick sizes and other market data points to ensure alignment
Proactively investigate regulatory updates from ESMA and the FCA and escalate impacts where required
Support regulatory reporting requirements by working with relevant teams to deliver accurate reference data and respond to queries
Collaborate effectively across products, teams and business areas to deliver robust operational services and change initiatives
Partner with Project Managers, IT and Trading teams on system enhancements, UAT and process improvements
Assist with the resolution of technical and production issues/incidents, ensuring timely escalation where appropriate
Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions
Participate in internal projects focused on process improvement and/or industry/regulatory change
Identify opportunities to improve controls, efficiency and quality within operational processes
Perform quality control checks as required and support the maintenance of strong operational standards
Train other members of staff, support junior colleagues and deputise for the Assistant Manager where required
Desk coverage is from 07:00 to 18:00 (UK Time) covered by three separate shifts (early, middle, and late)
Some weekend and bank holiday coverage required

Candidate Profile / Key Skills
Minimum experience of 4 years
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines under pressure
Experience operating in a professional, customer-focused environment where detailed processes must be followed
Solid understanding of capital markets and equities trading environments
Good awareness of regulatory requirements (e.g. FCA, ESMA), including their impact on reference data and corporate actions
Good communication and customer management skills
Confident teammate with good interpersonal skills and a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
Recent experience in a similar operational or technical client service role supporting financial clients
Working knowledge of corporate actions processes and events would be advantageous
Additional technical skills, with the ability to learn quickly, would be beneficial in areas such as Power BI, electronic trading systems, market data, ITSM tools, Excel, and Salesforce.
