i) To assist end to end product development & marketing for bancatakaful / partnership channels.
ii) To assist in data analytic study and reporting to support the team and management in planning and development of takaful products.
iii) To support the team on matters relating to the strategic product planning, execution and deliver projects as and when defined.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end development of family takaful products from ideation to go-live in accordance with PruBSN's product calendar:
    • Draft product collaterals for internal approval (Product Implementation Committee (PIC) and Product Steering Committee (PSC)), while ensuring compliance with Shariah principles, BNM guidelines, and PruBSN's Product Development Policies and Procedures (PDPP).
    • Assist in the preparation of submission papers and supporting documents for product approval by the Shariah Committee (SC) and Group Product Approval Committee (GPAC), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to the respective committee approval timelines.
    • Perform and coordinate UAT for all applicable systems and platforms, including preparing test cases, business requirements, executing test scenarios, and managing defect tracking through to sign-off.
    • Support post product launch activities, including post-implementation follow-up/enhancement items, post-implementation review (PIR) which includes sales monitoring.
  • Support cross-functional development teams across PIC on implementation of new or enhanced products.
  • Support the management of bank partner / external stakeholders engagement on product related matters, including bank specific approval and renewal processes and documentation, product queries, quotation tool support, and any ad-hoc requests, to ensure timely responses and sustained sales momentum.
  • Support the timely delivery of product campaigns by coordinating between vendors, bank partners, and internal teams on campaign related collaterals, from approval and launch through to post-campaign monitoring.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive benchmarking and market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and market movements to support product ideation, and respond to ad-hoc requests from bank partners and distribution teams on product competitiveness.
  • Support the implementation of statutory and regulatory changes from BNM and Group Office that impact product documentation.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of Takaful models and Shariah principles as applied to product structuring and familiar with BNM regulatory frameworks.
  • Good basics and experience on product rules and system implementation.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.(Preferred)

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in product development within the insurance/takaful industry. Experience in bancassurance or bancatakaful is strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional language proficiency is encouraged.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with UAT processes and system testing methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
