Job Description

As our highly valued Broker Development Manager based in Melbourne your role will drive growth, performance and strong broker relationships across your portfolio, You’ll make an impact by: Building and strengthening relationships with mortgage brokers and aggregator partners across your portfolio Driving growth in home lending volume, portfolio performance and broker engagement outcomes Identifying opportunities to expand market presence and increase broker advocacy for Great Southern Bank Providing brokers with support, education and insights to help them confidently position our products and services Maintaining a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity and lending opportunities within your region Partnering closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless experience for brokers and customers Managing portfolio performance, pipeline activity and reporting to support business growth objectives Representing Great Southern Bank professionally in market and building strong external networks Do things differently with us This isn’t a transactional BDM role focused purely on volume. You’ll build genuine, long-term partnerships that help brokers grow their business while delivering better outcomes for customers. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio strategically, balancing relationship management, business development and market engagement to drive sustainable growth. Working closely with credit, operations and lending teams, you’ll play an important role in shaping how brokers experience Great Southern Bank — bringing responsiveness, commercial thinking and strong follow-through to every interaction. To succeed in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in broker distribution, business development or relationship management within banking or financial services Strong understanding of mortgage lending products, broker channels and the Australian lending market Proven ability to build and maintain high-performing broker and aggregator relationships Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and drive portfolio performance Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing competing priorities and targets Strong problem-solving capability and a customer-focused mindset Relevant qualifications in Finance, Business or a related discipline (desirable) Why Great Southern Bank?
