What makes this role exciting
The Philippine Statutory Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compliance with all payroll-related statutory requirements in the Philippines. This role involves preparing and submitting government-mandated contributions, reports, and filings for agencies such as SSS, HDMF, PHIC, and BIR. The specialist also manages employee-related statutory updates, monitors regulatory changes, assists in year-end processes, and coordinates with internal teams, service partners, and external authorities to maintain full compliance.
Main responsibilities
Will be in charge of the preparation of Monthly Remittances for SSS, HDMF, PHIC & BIR.
SSS PRN for Contribution & Loans
SPA for PHIC
BIR1601C & BIR1603 (Quarterly)
HDMF remittance list report and MCL generation for Contribution & Loans
Online payment facility submission or uploading
Updating or reporting of New Hire & Leaver to Government Agencies, either through the online portal or manual submission.
Responsible for posting and updating the monthly contributions and loans.
Monitor and provide updates in any circular, advisory, memorandum and new ruling released by the concerned Government Agencies.
Assisting in checking and validating Government numbers.
Assisting in annualization and year-end process
Reviewing the alphalist report
Filing of 1604C and 1604F
Generation & validation of the data file as well as email submission through BIR e-submission
Validation and DVD-R saving of employee BIR 2316
Validation of Year-end supporting documents and requirements
BIR onsite branch submission of BIR 2316 together with year-end supporting documents.
Maintaining Confidentiality of Employee Files
Coordinate with customers, service partners, and other external authorities concerning statutory-related processes, concerns, payments, reports, etc.
Experience needed for this role
Hands-on experience in statutory processing & online payment processing for SSS, PAG-IBIG, Philhealth, BIR.
Statutory reporting experience
Philippines Labor law in terms of Compensation and Benefits knowledge a plus
