Our Transaction Services Private Equity, or TSPE, specialist team combines deep experience in transaction services, especially commercial due diligence, with Simon-Kucher’s commercial expertise. We collaborate closely with our industry practices to deliver segment-specific analyses and actionable value-creation strategies. The Healthcare Life Sciences, or HC LS, TSPE practice advises both strategic and financial investors pre-deal and post-deal across the Healthcare Life Sciences industry. The core focus is commercial due diligence, or CDD, as well as pricing due diligence, or PDD, delivered by the TSPE specialist team in close collaboration with our HC LS practice. Our Healthcare Life Sciences Division works across the highly innovative and complex healthcare sector, including pharmaceuticals and biotech, medical technology, diagnostics, digital health and healthcare IT, healthcare B2B, providers, consumer health, and animal health. How you will create an impact: As a Manager, you will be a critical member of the Healthcare Life Sciences TSPE practice in North America. You will help build and expand the practice in the US in collaboration with local partners, the TSPE lead partner, and global TSPE colleagues. You will: Advise private equity funds, corporate clients, and strategic investors on transactions, with a focus on commercial due diligence and value-creation opportunities. Lead commercial due diligence engagements from project acquisition through final report delivery, including work planning, project execution, timeline management, and client communication. Analyze market size, growth, trends, customer behavior, competitor dynamics, and competitive positioning to help clients evaluate investment opportunities and growth potential. Guide customer interviews, expert interviews, market research, and surveys to uncover customer behaviors, perceptions, buying criteria, and growth opportunities. Prepare client-ready deliverables and present clear findings and recommendations to senior client audiences, incorporating client feedback as needed. Develop trusted senior-level advisory relationships by delivering high-quality, tailored recommendations that clients can execute. Collaborate with TSPE and HC LS partners to expand the practice, strengthen methodologies, improve tools and processes, and support business development. Manage multiple engagements and project teams concurrently, including defining team roles, overseeing deliverable quality, and balancing timelines and expectations. Lead, coach, and develop junior consultants by providing clear guidance, training, and timely feedback. Work on cross-border projects with Simon-Kucher colleagues around the world. Stay current on business, transaction, and industry trends relevant to clients’ businesses. Support broader team development and market activities, including recruiting, marketing, and integration of new TSPE consultants. Demonstrate empathy and emotional intelligence when managing conflict, communicating change, and leading teams through demanding project environments. Be a leader in the firm and contribute to Simon-Kucher’s culture and continued success. About you: You bring: 4–6 years of experience in consulting or in the strategy, M A, or corporate development function of a company. Required experience conducting commercial due diligence engagements. Experience leading commercial due diligence and/or growth strategy projects, preferably within Healthcare Life Sciences. An undergraduate degree; MS, MA, MBA, or another advanced degree is preferred but not required. A track record of managing multiple projects, including work plans, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and accounts receivable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort in financial modeling, market analysis, and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative insights. Ability to solve complex problems, direct teams, and complete challenging project activities within tight timelines. Strong project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transaction environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective presentation skills, with the ability to present findings, takeaways, and recommendations to senior audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work seamlessly and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. A positive, open, and team-oriented mindset. High client-service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively, even during challenging or unexpected situations. Total compensation for this role includes base salary, yearly performance bonus and eligibility for annual merit-based increases, and a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary range for this position is between $170,000 to $180,000 per year for U.S. roles. Specific compensation within these ranges will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and location. Salary ranges are reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with market conditions.
