
Manufacturing Equipment Technician (Photolithography)
Job Description
onsemi is looking for a knowledgeable Manufacturing Equipment Technician that can perform preventative maintenance and lead electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. This position will specialize in maintaining various semiconductor manufacturing equipment in the Photolithography area. A qualified candidate must have a basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge, and a passion for working safely in a fast-paced industry. Within this team-based environment, you will work closely with equipment, process, and production engineering to provide high quality products for our customers, on time.
Shift: Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:30am. Includes a 15% Shift Differential!

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems that include servo motors and controllers, stepper motors and controllers, AC motors and controllers, and DC motors and controllers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-pneumatic systems that include solenoid valves, gate valves, high vacuum isolation valves, vacuum pumps, and pneumatic logic circuits.
- The completion of all scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repair procedures in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and put corrective actions in place.
- Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
- Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.
- A safety-minded approach is required: employees must be able to learn, understand and follow all safety documentation, specs, and protocol, including LOTO. Must also be able to identify any/all safety concerns and regulatory violations in order to eradicate them.
- The ability to consistently take initiative and drive one’s own work at a high level and demonstrate advanced leadership skills for small teams.
- Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
- Work with outside vendors as required

- Minimum AAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Technology, Military Electronics degree or related.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude is required to succeed in this role.
- Ability to define, initiate, and manage maintenance events that improve tool function and metrics.
- Use hand tools including wrenches, calipers, voltage/current meters, oscilloscopes, and other various equipment technology specific tooling
- A strong understanding and working knowledge of the following systems is beneficial: pneumatic/hydraulic pump systems, multi axis servo systems, optical components, chillers & cooling systems.
- Familiarity with Robotic / Automated handling systems & vacuum systems
- Must be able to work with various hazardous gases and chemicals. Must be able to wear full face airline respirator.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1/3 of the time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in both an office and anti-static clean room environment.
- Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.

- Strong communicator, who can effectively work with a team of manufacturing operators, process engineers, as well as other technicians.
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
- Experience with any and all of these machine technologies is a plus…Steppers, Coaters, Developers, CD SEM.
