Location:

Pursue your passion for caring with the Duke Raleigh Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. With 204 beds, it is the third largest of the four Duke Health hospitals and offers a comprehensive array of services, including cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, advanced gastrointestinal, and wound healing care.

How you will make an impact

  • Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and response to treatment.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed care providers; serve as team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
  • Support environment of care, participate in performance improvement, and maintain clinical competencies and ongoing professional development.
  • Precept and support development of staff and learners while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

What you will need

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Minimum 2 years of appropriate clinical experience required.
  • Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Knowledge of nursing scope, clinical procedures, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to assess and manage care for acute and chronically ill patients and families.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills with ability to use healthcare technology systems.
