Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Project Coordinator is a customer-focused role supporting customers with order execution processes, troubleshooting, and technical solutions. This position combines engineering knowledge with customer service skills to ensure that the product is technically sound and satisfies customer needs.
 
Essential Job Functions
  • Work with Sales, Applications, Operations, and Service teams and/or customers to assess project deliverables and requirements, including order entry, schedule updates, and preparation of submittal/engineering documentation.
  • Responsible for the overall planning, management, quality, and completion of system deployments within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Review and manage project/order constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality.
  • Prepare project BOMs and all documentation needed for equipment fabrication.
  • Prepare project O&M manuals, including detailed step-by-step operating instructions and troubleshooting guides.
  • Communicate assessed risks and project status to senior management.
  • Maintain positive relationships and ensure effective communication between customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain project/order-related materials in the project library/storage system.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field from an accredited college or tech school.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, including mechanical, process, and electrical.
  • Detailed-oriented, organized, self-starter, and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering,
  • Experience in the municipal water and/or wastewater industries.
  • Experience as a construction project or field engineer.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical equipment designs.
  • Up to three years’ experience managing the implementation and support of projects
  • Experience in applications or sales support role that included bidding and selling capital equipment.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains ERP systems.
  • Ability to identify and define system design requirements.
  • Familiarity with 2D AutoCAD.
 
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Physical ability to perform work in a standing, stooping, sitting, or bending position for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to look at computer monitors for much of the workday.
 
Work Environment
  • Exposure to various liquid and dry chemicals and substances associated with water and wastewater treatment applications.
  • Approximately 90% Office.
  • Approximately 10% Light Industrial – May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, chemicals and industrial facilities.
  • Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions.

This position is non-exempt. Compensation is dependent on skill level. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 annually. Benefits package and incentives are provided. We generally offer employees working 21 hours per work or more medical, dental, vision, along with voluntary ancillary benefits. The Company has a 401(k)-match program and has company-paid life and AD&D insurance available for eligible employees.
