Job Description

Eaton’s AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a Sr. HR Generalist. 

What you’ll do:

Primary Function:

Provide HR expertise with the business under the direction of the Human Resources Supervisor.  

Provides support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, events and special projects. Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs. This position drives continuous improvement in human resources while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).  


 Essential Functions:

•    Administers programs, projects, and/or processes related to the HR function and fully supports plant initiatives. 
•    Perform Labor Relations functions, counsel leaders on dealing with employee relations and employee performance issues and follows up on all related matters.
•    Recruitment process for salaried and hourly employees, review organization structure and job design with hiring manager. 
•    Collaborate on the analysis of organizational capabilities and monitor development actions and plans including compensation and benefits. 
•    Assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes in the HR Management Systems.  
•    Processes various applications, employment, enrollment, pay change, informational and other confidential forms, and records in HR systems. 
•    End-to-end event organization, plant committee member, Excellence in culture category, reports, communications and major issues as directed by the HR Supervisor and handle other duties as assigned. 
•    Ensures legal compliance regarding all aspects of training and the internal tracking of skills matrix.
•    Implement strategies to ensure organizational development through internal and external programs.

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

•    BS or BA in Human Resource Management or equivalent 
•    3-5 years of HR generalist experience  
•    Proficient in computer software, Microsoft office, Tress System  
•    Experience in labor relations and training
•    Fluent English
•    Teamwork oriented

Preferred Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position):
•    Payroll experience or equivalent
