Senior Software Engineer
📍 Location: Mogliano Veneto (TV), Italy🏢 Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week🕒 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Mogliano Veneto (Treviso area), supporting the company’s strategy for critical neurology products.
This role focuses on the design and development of medical desktop applications, contributing to software solutions that play a key role in improving patient outcomes and supporting clinicians. You will work in a regulated environment, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop software components for medical desktop applications
Support the delivery of software aligned to critical neurology product strategy
Contribute across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Create and execute low-level test plans, ensuring robustness and reliability of software components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Product Management)
Ensure compliance with medical device standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485 where applicable)
Apply best practices in software design, coding standards, testing, and documentation
Participate in risk management, verification, and validation activities
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high-performing engineering culture
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in software engineering
Strong programming experience in languages such as C++, C#, Java, or Python
Experience designing modular software components and architectures
Hands-on experience with unit testing and low-level test execution
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluent Italian (mandatory)
Professional level of English (written and spoken)
Preferred / Advantageous
Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or other regulated industries
Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or similar standards
Experience with desktop application development (e.g., Windows-based systems)
Understanding of cybersecurity and data protection in regulated environments
