About the Role
In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of the underwriting process, conducting applicant interviews and ensuring accurate, thorough information is gathered to support sound underwriting decisions. Your work directly impacts the experience of Medicare Supplement applicants nationwide. What You’ll Do
Conduct inbound and outbound phone interviews with Medicare Supplement applicants
Verify application information with accuracy and professionalism
Follow structured scripts and use supplemental medical questionnaires when needed
Listen carefully and probe thoughtfully to gather complete, accurate details
Identify and request outstanding underwriting requirements
Enter interview details and documentation into the administrative system
Evaluate applicants against underwriting guidelines established by carrier clients
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate application processing
What You Bring
High school diploma/GED with 1+ year of experience in medical insurance, pharmacy, clinical coding, or customer service
Medical insurance or pharmacy experience preferred; prescription drug knowledge required
Excellent verbal/written communication and strong phone handling skills
Detail-oriented problem solver with sound judgment, confidentiality, and ethical standards
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to adapt to changing needs
Flexible to work assigned schedules, rotating coverage, and overtime as needed
May have agent license but no active appointments
