Maintenance Technician – The Preserve | Off-Campus Student Housing
About the Role
At The Preserve, we’re committed to providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment where students can thrive. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily operations and ensure our community is always in top condition.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced student housing environment. You’ll be responsible for completing service requests, supporting unit turns, and maintaining building systems — all while delivering a high level of service to our residents.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior maintenance experience in student housing, multifamily, or similar environment required
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- HVAC certification or hands-on experience preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with residents and team members
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues
- Perform preventative maintenance to keep systems running efficiently
- Assist with unit turns and make-ready processes during move-in and move-out periods
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance areas and tools
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs and on-call responsibilities
- Work closely with the onsite team to ensure a safe, student-ready community
Pay & Perks
- Compensation: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience
- Pay Schedule: Paid semi-monthly
