Responsibilities
The Supportive Roommate typically provides in-home support during the week and on weekends. The Supportive Roommate will also provide support during statutory holidays and will typically have two weekends off a month.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing support with all areas of daily living including life skills such as budgeting, household management, grocery shopping, meal preparation, health and medical support, transportation and support in active recreation (bowling, swimming, etc.)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have two adults (18+) living in the home who will be able to support the individual
- Experience working with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges
- Experience providing behavioural supports to clients
- A vehicle is required for this position
- NE is the most preferred location
