Location: Logan Health Sunburst, MT
Schedule: PRN | Variable Shifts

Qualifications:

  • Current Driver’s License required.

  • RQI Provider (BLS) within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first, required.

  • Must possess a good driving record clear of the following for the past thirty-six (36) months from time of hire:

    • Conviction of a felony involving a motor vehicle.

    • Conviction of sale, handling, or use of illicit drugs.

    • Conviction of an alcohol or drug-related offense while driving.

    • Driver’s license suspended or revoked.

    • Conviction of three (3) or more speeding or other moving violations.

  • Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification preferred and must successfully obtain within six (6) months of hire.

  • Knowledge of community roads and local addresses as applicable to assigned area(s) preferred.

  • Knowledge of standard radio transmission codes preferred.

  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

  • Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.

  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software systems as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Completes a mechanical checklist prior to each shift to ensure ambulance is in working order and ready to transport patients. Reports any mechanical issues to appropriate personnel per department protocol.

  • Ensures ambulance remains in ready order by maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and fueling vehicles according to department and infection control guidelines.

  • Assists with loading and unloading patients safely and respectfully per department protocol.

  • Safely transports patients to appropriate medical facilities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care.

  • Accurately and efficiently completes required documentation per department protocol.

  • Supports a safe, team-focused work environment while maintaining readiness for daily operations.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
