Position Summary
The Registration Specialist facilitates efficient patient flow from point of entry through completion of services in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This role is responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic, insurance, and financial information to ensure accurate records, optimal reimbursement, and positive clinical outcomes. The position also supports scheduling, patient communication, and front‑line customer service operations.

Check in and check out patients and families, ensuring a positive and professional experience
Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information
Schedule appointments, including MRI scheduling, in a timely and accurate manner
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferre
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts (ICD‑10 and CPT preferred)
Ability to interpret insurance information and benefit coverage
Working knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced healthcare environment
Medical office or patient access experience strongly preferred
Work Environment

Frequent interaction with patients, families, and clinical staff
