Mechanical Technician – Maintenance & Critical Response (MCR)
Reporting to: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Chonburi
Position Overview
The MCR Team is a specialised, in-house engineering organisation designed to provide rapid response, advanced troubleshooting, and self-perform maintenance for mission-critical systems across the data centre portfolio.
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing routine and corrective mechanical maintenance activities across the data centre, including CHW systems, FWU/CRAC units, CDU, pumps, valves, motors, and related mechanical infrastructure. The role supports troubleshooting, repair, inspections, and safe execution of mechanical tasks to ensure optimal system reliability and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, FWU/CRAH units, heat exchangers, and other mechanical systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair under supervision, including component replacement.
- Support chilled water system troubleshooting/ restoration activities.
- Assist in developing and following MOPs, SOPs, and safety procedures for mechanical work.
- Conduct routine mechanical inspections and identify abnormal equipment conditions.
- Support emergency response during cooling or mechanical incidents.
- Maintain proper documentation, update maintenance logs, and comply with operational standards.
- Ensure adherence to safety practices including LOTO, chemical handling procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Technical Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, HVAC, or M&E Engineering.
- 1–3 years hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, HVAC systems, or industrial environments.
- Understanding of pump systems, valves, motors, and HVAC equipment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and mechanical isolation procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions, perform hands-on mechanical work, and support engineers.
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents.
