
Junior Information Management Analyst Co-op
Job Description
Open to students registered in a recognized co-op program only.
- Duration: Fall 2026 (September - December 2026; 4 months)
- Location: Victoria, BC - our office is located on the Selkirk Waterfront along the Gorge Inlet, offering stunning views of downtown Victoria and the Olympic Mountains. You’ll also have easy access to the nearby Galloping Goose Regional Trail for walking and cycling.
- Salary: $2,040.97 bi-weekly – Grid 7, Step 3 (for students working towards a diploma or bachelor's degree) or $2,335.03 bi-weekly – Grid 12, Step 3 (for students working towards a post-graduate degree)
- Grant: As part of our inVESTED scholarship program, you may be eligible for reimbursement up to a maximum of $1,000 per four-month work term to cover the cost of co-op work term tuition fees.

- Team: The Content Management team is responsible for creating and maintaining records and information management policies, standards, and guidelines for the corporation. We are also responsible for identity and access management governance and implementing information protection policies and tools to safeguard corporate information.
The Junior Information Management Analyst Co-op role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience support how information and data is classified, governed, and used to support accountability, service delivery, and informed decision-making with a focus on information governance, access management, and data protection.
The successful candidate may:
- The successful candidate will work alongside experienced information professionals to improve and strengthen our data protection program, contributing to initiatives and projects focusing on data protection, compliance, and operational effectiveness
- Support our information protection program and assist in the deployment of sensitivity labels, data loss prevention policies, and other tools across our M365 cloud environment.
- Assist in the development of information management metrics and governance
- Assist in assessing new tools and processes for information management and information protection
- Supporting business units and handling customer service questions and inquiries.
- Collaborate with senior information management analysts in project management activities
- Work and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives with diverse business areas
Learning Outcomes

This opportunity is available to 3rd or 4th year University students and graduate level students studying library and information studies, business, computer science, or related fields.
Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas would be an asset:
- Previous experience in data, information, records and/or knowledge management.
- Previous experience working with Microsoft 365 tools and applications (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Previous Experience working as part of a project team (at work or school).
