SWBC is seeking a talented individual to analyze and formulate solutions for small to medium software system problems; analyzes business processes; writes system process specifications including high-level requirements, business rules, reporting, database schema, stakeholder analysis, and requirements traceability. Collaborates with clients to determine their business needs and transforms them into information technology system requirements. Leverages AI-driven tools and analytics to enhance application functionality, automate workflows, and improve decision-making processes.

Essential duties include the following:
- Analyzes business problem statements and develops solutions for small to medium scale software systems projects.
- Transforms business needs into business, functional, non-functional, user, and testing requirements for use by the Information Technology department.
- Integrates AI-powered tools (e.g., predictive analytics, natural language processing, intelligent automation) to enhance application capabilities and user experience.
- Identifies opportunities to apply machine learning models or AI-driven insights to optimize business processes and system performance.
- Collaborates with data scientists and developers to implement AI features into business applications.
- Reports and communicates requirement progress to stakeholders as input to project status reports.
- Reviews test strategy, test plans, and test cases to ensure requirements are met; supports Software Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing teams as needed.
- Reviews defects and coordinates with both internal and external customers to determine priority of fix and manual work-around.
- Participates in AI model validation and monitoring to ensure ethical and effective use of AI technologies.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
- Some college coursework in a technical field, equivalent math or technical aptitude, or equivalent experience in an Information Technology, Insurance, or Financial Services environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- At least three (3) years as a Business Systems Analyst I, or related business application support experience.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools (e.g., Power BI with AI visuals, Azure AI, or similar platforms) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of business applications and enterprise systems.
- Working knowledge of process models, requirements documentation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with data content and structures for systems supported.
- Ability to utilize business system analysis, modeling, design and documentation techniques, and testing methodologies.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio, Access, and Project.
- Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) preferred.
- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI and automation, through continuous learning and professional development.
