US Farathane is seeking a Human Resource Generalist. 
 
US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year.

We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies. 

Job Description
  • Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Payroll 
    • Assist in editing of all employee punches daily (Hourly and Salary)
    • Assist in editing of all vacation requests daily (Hourly and Salary)
    • Assist in editing of all absenteeism daily (Hourly and Salary)  
    • Assist in verify all totals weekly (vacation, absent, etc.)
    • Help to Run payroll reports weekly
    • Balance totals for payroll weekly, approve payroll to Corporate for processing
    • Run weekly payroll reports and check for accuracy.
    • Track labor hours and labor dollars for Production Manager/Controller
    • Create weekly overtime report for all production as well as salaried hours.
    • Complete all payroll deduction worksheets weekly for uniform deductions, union deduction, tools, etc. and submit to Corporate payroll and back up HR Manager’s salary payroll.
    • Complete all payroll worksheets inputting payroll hours and dollars and submit to Controller/staff reporting.
    • Create and input all new hire information for hourly and salary.
    • Prepare any miscellaneous payroll check requests and submit to Corporate payroll.
    • Sort all payroll checks and distribute first and second shifts (and third shift as needed).
    • Track all mailed paychecks
    • Maintain all shift schedules for individual employees and make changes as needed.            
    • Maintain garnishments, friend of the court papers, etc.
  • New Hires
    • Complete all personnel related forms.
    • Prepare all new hire paperwork done at plant level.
    • Create all new employee files and update all phone lists, attendance and vacation for new hires.
    • Participate in New Hire Orientation reviewing all company policies, dress code, attendance policy, ethics policy, social media policy, payroll policy, 401K and benefit overview, job description and requirements, etc.
    • Ensure salary employees are given work instructions packets. Track that packets come back and new hire sheets signed off.
  • Maintain employee vacation records.
    • Yearly, compute vacation hours earned and enter into vacation database.
  • Maintain employee attendance records and notify of policy violations.
    • Track lost time/absenteeism by reason.
    • Issue Attendance write ups to employees reaching five (5) occurrences or more.
    • Track perfect attendance for all employees as per union agreement.
      • Enter and track all “emergency tardies” used throughout the year.
      • Twice yearly compute all attendance records for employees obtaining Perfect Attendance Award per union agreement.
  • Terminations
    • Assist with exit interviews when needed.
    • Maintain Termination Chart.
    • Complete all vacation pay outs for termed employees if required.
    • Close out employees file.
  • Evaluations
    • Monthly prepare evaluations for all hourly union employees/salary 30 and 60 day evaluations.
    • Distribute evaluations to appropriate supervisor and follow up when evaluation becomes overdue.
  • Archive all payroll files from active drawer to storage yearly.
  • Shred any old files once time limit has expired.
  • Interact on a weekly basis with uniform distributor and handle any/all issues as they arise.
  • Track and distribute uniforms and make sure uniform deductions are correct in payroll.
  • FMLA/STD Leave
    • Prepare and distribute proper paperwork for all employees requesting FMLA/STD leave.
    • Follow-up with receipt of all documents from medical provider in a timely manner.
    • Ensure employees status is correct, creating PAF’s for employees on leave, and upon their return.
    • Track all STD payments made to employees.
    • Maintain contact with employees on leave and when applicable with Lincoln.
    • Upon employees medical release to work set up appointment to see company doctor for back to work certificate.
    • Purchase and mail get well cards to employees out on serious medical condition.
  • Report any time clock issues with Paycor Help Desk.
  • Assist Human Resource Manager in various projects.
  • Back up other positions in the HR Department.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
