What’s the role
As a Technical Security Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the security technology required to protect the SCiN’s physical assets and infrastructure. You will ensure that security technologies, processes, and architecture align with Group standards and regulatory requirements. You must be able to clearly articulate how security technology mitigates specific risks and adds wider business value.
What you’ll be doing
You will own the responsible of the planning and cost of the security technology associated of the SCiN Security Function. You will have solid-line reporting relationship to the Project Security Manager and a strong working relationship with the Team Leads across the Company.
Corporate Security / Centre: Alignment with Group Security Standard (GSS).
Key Impact: SCiN Security Function credibility and accountability with Business
Lead all security technology matters, provide subject matter expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders, and maintain awareness of the external security market, including benchmarking and identifying value-adding technologies and partners.
Develop, maintain, and drive the SCiN Security Technology Roadmap, covering prioritization, innovation, and delivery of initiatives from ideation through piloting, onboarding, and company-wide rollout.
Collaborate with SCiN IDT, Real Estate, Projects, telecoms, and other disciplines to design, implement, and assure technical security solutions across all sites, including review of engineering and architectural deliverables.
Establish, maintain, and refine group technical specifications, standards, tools, processes, and policies (including access control), ensuring alignment with design and delivery requirements.
Conduct strategic reviews for high priority/high-risk assets, develop improvement strategies and business cases, and provide SME support through implementation.
Ensure all High-Level Security Designs (HLSDs) are fit-for-purpose and compliant; create HLSDs when needed to meet security risk mitigation demands.
Provide technical leadership and operational oversight, including acting as functional lead for Genetec system delivery, leading access control operations, and supporting SCiN Security Leadership on enterprise project delivery.
Build capability and deliver value by mentoring and training security staff, collaborating with contractors and industry partners for innovative solutions, and driving cost savings through quotation reviews, value engineering, and contract support.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution required; postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is an advantage.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years working with security technology/equipment in top-tier Technology and Consulting firms.
Professional industrial security certification (e.g., PSP from ASIS or equivalent) is an advantage.
Certification in the use of Genetec Interfaces
Good understanding of Exploration & Production (E&P) business, value drivers, and the Nigerian operating environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead integrated teams, delegate effectively, coach team capability, and drive performance, innovation, and new ways of working.
Strategic thinker able to advise senior management on threats and mitigation; confident to coordinate and challenge stakeholders on security integration in business proposals.
Excellent organizational, analytical, presentation, facilitation, and communication (written and oral) skills; able to work under pressure in multicultural, cross-functional teams with flexibility and accountability.
Strong communication skills with the ability to set out logical arguments clearly and adapt language, form, and message to meet the needs of different people/ audiences.
Ability to intervene in security-related incidents and uphold security procedures without compromise.
The use of collaborative tools including SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel is an advantage; HSSE awareness/knowledge required; ability to manage costs and drive cost reduction.
