Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group, the physician-led medical group for JPS Health Network, is seeking an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon dedicated to quality, collaboration, and compassionate patient care to join our experienced orthopedic surgery team in Fort Worth, Texas. Acclaim is looking for an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon committed to quality and patient care who is ready to join a highly specialized and collaborative surgical team. The ideal candidate for this position should be able to effectively collaborate with other providers, patients, therapists, and staff to ensure optimal patient care outcomes. Position Highlights: · Broad case mix including elective and traumatic conditions involving the hand, wrist, and upper extremity · Opportunities to manage fractures, nerve compression syndromes, tendon injuries, arthritis, microsurgery, and reconstructive procedures · Strong collaboration with orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, emergency medicine, rehabilitation services, and therapy teams across inpatient and outpatient settings · Access to a diverse patient population with high clinical volume and surgical variety · Opportunities for teaching, academic engagement, and research support · Work in the heart of Fort Worth’s Magnolia Village and Medical District—an area known for its culture, thriving economy, museums, Botanical Gardens, Historic Stockyards, and one of the nation’s most livable downtowns The Physician is responsible for administering and interpreting all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, surgical interventions, and consultations within the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. This position will also educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments; may also conduct physicals, order tests, and serve as a patient’s healthcare provider. Duties and Essential Job Functions: · Coordinates the multidisciplinary care delivered to all patients to optimize patient care. · Reviews patient medical charts to diagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients and families. · Performs operative and non-operative management of hand and upper extremity conditions. · Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary. · Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring the services are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group. · Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores. Demonstrates patient-centered and patient-valued behavior. · Maintains a collaborative environment with other referring physicians, residents, clinical staff, therapists, and support staff to provide quality patient care. · Supports academic, educational, and research endeavors. · Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings and is an active participant in the process. · Partners and communicates with acumen to build a positive brand and patient/customer experience for those who encounter JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group. This would include health network staff, vendors, outside partners, patients, stakeholders, and local community leaders. · Serves as a resource to the community. · Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: · Current Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine. · Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery Residency program. · Fellowship training in Hand Surgery. Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: · Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas. · Board Certification or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery. · Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Surgery of the Hand preferred or eligible for certification.
