The Job
- Provide comprehensive financial control, planning, budgeting, and forecasting support for various strategic projects and initiatives across departments.
- Collaborate closely with project sponsors, budget holders, and business managers to prepare annual budgets, monitor project costs, and ensure compliance with governance and financial policies.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify key business drivers, support the financial planning process, and facilitate effective management discussions.
- Oversee the implementation of budgetary controls, prepare timely management reports, and track financial performance against budgets.
- Support capital investment evaluations by analyzing financial proposals to ensure alignment with organizational strategy, risk mitigation, and proper governance.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication between finance teams and various stakeholders to enhance financial processes, reporting, and decision-making.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes, aiming for efficiency, standardization, and automation.
- Provide training and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, effective communication, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate governance requirements, and financial policies throughout financial operations and project management.
- Analyze financial performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance resource allocation strategies across departments.
- Act as a business partner, providing strategic financial insights to support divisional and club-wide initiatives and decision-making.
- Monitor and report on KPIs to facilitate effective decision-making and drive successful project outcomes.
About You
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is required.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent are essential.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on financial planning, analysis, and management.
- A minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role is required.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects or operations is preferred, with an understanding of core project management principles.
- Solid experience in financial analysis, corporate planning, financial modelling, and management control is necessary.
