Job Description

Overview Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Stockroom Assistant to join our Bicester store on a 40 hour full time basis. You will be reliable and hardworking and have a passion for delivering excellent levels of customer service. The ideal candidate will be confident developing selling opportunities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will act as a brand ambassador and will be responsible for representing the Barbour brand in a positive and professional manner. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Inventory Management: Counting stock, receiving deliveries, and updating inventory records via computer systems. Stockroom Maintenance: Organizing storage areas, labelling products, and ensuring the stockroom is tidy and safe. Replenishment: Moving stock from the storeroom to the shop floor and replacing out-of-date items. Unloading: Unpacking new merchandise and preparing it for display. Picking/Packing: Preparing online orders for shipment. Discrepancy Reporting: Reporting missing items or stock damage to management to minimize losses. Qualifications Required Skills and Requirements Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and move inventory (often heavy). Organizational Skills: Keeping inventory orderly for quick access. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate inventory counts. Basic IT Skills: Experience with barcode scanners and inventory software.
