Job Description
About the Role
Neural Concept accelerates the full engineering simulation cycle. Our AI platform compresses the time from design change to validated result, so engineering teams can explore more, iterate faster, and ship better products. The Vertical Solutions team turns that capability into production-grade, domain-specific solutions for our customers.
As a Senior CAE Expert, you will own the simulation workflows, benchmarks, and solution assets that sit at the heart of what we deliver. Your work will land directly inside the engineering processes of leading automotive OEMs and consumer electronics companies — accelerating the entire cycle from geometry change through to crash, safety, and drop test results.
What You Will Do
Own vertical solution assets end-to-end. Design and develop simulation workflows, validation benchmarks, and solution templates for automotive structural analysis (crash, occupant safety, pedestrian safety) and consumer electronics durability (drop test, vibration). Take assets from concept through to handover to Sales and Customer Success.
Accelerate the full simulation pipeline. Map the complete cycle — design change, automated meshing, solver configuration, job execution, and design optimisation — onto Neural Concept's platform. Define accuracy and speed requirements, validate against benchmark data, and deliver repeatable, production-grade workflows using tools such as ABAQUS, LS-Dyna, Radioss, Hypermesh, ANSA, and Simlab.
Write Python automation and tooling. Script data preprocessing, solution packaging, and workflow integration. Maintain solution reproducibility standards and contribute to internal tooling libraries.
Drive the product roadmap from the field. Partner with Product and Engineering to surface simulation-specific platform requirements, validate new capabilities, and feed real-world use cases directly into development priorities.
Who You Are
5–8 years of hands-on FEA simulation experience, in the application of vehicle crash, drop test, pedestrian and/or passenger safety, delivering production-quality models in automotive or consumer electronics environments
Deep expertise in leading Mechanical pre-solve-post tools, such as: ABAQUS, LS-Dyna, Radioss, Hypermesh, Simlab, ANSA, Meta, d3plot
Strong command of structural non-linear simulation: implicit/explicit solvers, contact formulations, material models, failure criteria
Demonstrated experience in automotive safety simulations (crash, occupant safety, pedestrian safety) or product durability testing (drop test, shock, vibration)
Experience with end-to-end simulation workflows: CAD preparation → Meshing → Solving → Post-processing → Visualization
Scripting and programming: Python (preferred); C++, Java, or C# also valued. Exposure to open-source tools (e.g., OpenFOAM, FEniCSx) and pre/post tools (e.g., Gmsh, ParaView) a plus.
Able to own deliverables independently and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-specialist audiences
Proficiency in both written and spoken English, with the ability to articulate technical complexity with clarity.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with AI-assisted simulation acceleration, design optimisation, or parametric study automation
Comfort with Git and modern dev environments/IDEs; basic CI for validation of templates and scripts
Master HPC and Cloud resources. Execute and refine complex simulations within high-performance computing environments, effectively deploying GPU acceleration to maximize workflow performance.
What You Get
Competitive salary and benefits
Training budget — we believe continuous education is essential for you and for us.
Work directly with a world-class engineering team that sets high standards and means it.
Visible, high-impact work inside a collaborative, multicultural environment where your contributions are recognised.
Real influence on how the world’s best engineering organisations use AI to design better products — faster and more sustainably.
Ample GPU/CPU resources via HPC and Cloud for your simulation and AI workloads.
Hybrid working model — 3 days in the Lausanne office, flexible hours, and we care about output not schedules.
