We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Hose Shop Technician to join our Part’s Department team based in Porgera.

About the Role:

This role primarily exists to develop the Hydraulic Hose business to ensure Hastings Deering (PNG) Limited is in the best position to offer our customers the best market options in hydraulic hose support, sales repairs, and installations. Develop best in Class (safety & profitable) in House Hydraulic Hose Manufacturing.

                     

Reporting to the Parts Manager, Lae Business Centre, your competency, and experience will include:

• Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.
• Ensure business direction, team purpose, and change agenda is understood, agreed to and work activities are aligned.
• Visual leadership in relation to safety, safety related metrics, solutions, and outcomes through the end-to-end supply chain.
• Responsible for the effective development of the company’s Hydraulic Hose Business activities to ensure we meet our customers’ expectations.
• Ensure all Hose Shop/trucks comply with all company policies, procedures including safety rules and regulations, fatigue management guidelines and chain of responsibility.
• Align business technologies with industry standards to achieve integrated operations performance reporting.
• Working in this fast-paced environment you will be required to use your initiative and ensure that you keep internal and external stakeholders informed of all alterations to the Hydraulic Hose Business Oversee/manage as part of the supply chain network team, annual stock takes which are to be conducted on the hose vans and the hose shop in a timely cost effective and without disruption to the customer.
• Standardize Hydraulic Hose Manufacturing process across all HD hose production sites, to increase performance and profitability, and improve Customer experience.

About You:

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Must have Grade 12 school certificate.
• Trade qualifications in a technical field.
• Experience in Hose Shop Manufacturing or Repair
• Use of Hose Assembly Tools and Equipment
• Excellent computer knowledge, working with Microsoft Office, Systems exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar.
• Able to interpret and demonstrate knowledge in using CAT SIS 2.0 and HIS
