Job Description

Full-time or Part-time teaching position beginning in the Fall 2026, in addition to being the Head Softball Coach.  Academic core endorsement (any endorsement area).  The Head Softball coach is responsible for maintaining a successful program that will compete with top teams in the state.  The coach will develop the student/athlete in all aspects of volleyball, academics, character, and model good sportsmanship and discipline.  A knowledge and understanding of volleyball rules, UHSAA rules, coaching certification, CPR, budgeting, practice organization, and out of season.  Willingness to conduct after school try-outs, practices and competitions.

 

Required: Utah Secondary Educator License any endorsement area depending on school need.

Licensure Requirements
All applicants must have a Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) or apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to be eligible to apply to Jordan School District and participate in our Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program when hired.

Proof of an AEL is required before you will be added to the candidate pool. Follow this link for information on how to apply for an AEL.

Proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program at a local university will also be accepted in lieu of an AEL.

UTAH STATE RETIREMENT
Benefit eligible employees are automatically members of the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). This means that the District contributes into the URS plan on your behalf each month. After the URS vesting period of four years, you will have either the Hybrid option, which is a combination of a pension with a 401k plan, or the 401k option if you choose. Both plans are employer-paid.
