VACANCY NOTICE

JOB TITLE:                                     Administrative Assistant, Human Resources Department

SCHOOL:                                        Central Office

REPORTS TO:                                Director of Human Resources

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:          12 Month Position

START DATE:                                 May 25, 2026

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates possession of knowledge of the responsibilities stated.
  3. Knowledge of technology and computer software.   
  4. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Assists the Director of Human Resources by performing routine clerical tasks, providing customer service and maintaining records. 

  1. Performs routine clerical functions such as typing, filing, processing in-district and outside correspondence, answering phones, preparing special project materials, and ordering supplies.

  2. Types/prepares correspondence, purchase orders, check requests, etc.

  3. Assist in compiling data for reports, records, and audits.
  4. Assist in maintaining and updating employee management system (Skyward).
  5. Responsible for tracking and processing all tuition reimbursement requests.
  6. Acts as backup to the receptionist at Central Office.
  7. Answers phone, responds to routine questions and inquiries, schedules appointments and route calls to appropriate persons.

  8. Provides a variety of clerical and office assistance duties; makes and distributes copies, processes mail, documents, correspondence, invoices, and other materials. 
  9. Responsible for monitoring substitute management system.

  10. Works with other positions, organizes, plans, and assists with student registration. 
  11. Answers phone, responds to routine questions and parent inquiries, schedules appointments, and route calls to appropriate persons.

  12. Assists with special projects that arise and assists other departments as needed. 

  13. Ability to meet the internal and external customer services needs of the human resources department, including staff, students, parents and the community.

  14. Occasionally meets with new hires to review, monitor, and process new hire paperwork.

  15. Assists processing and filing workman's compensation paperwork.

  16. Maintains confidentiality of personnel and school district business records as required.

  17. Ability to travel within District.

  18. Ability to perform with awareness of district requirements and policy.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Human Resources.

PAY AND BENEFITS

  1. $18.50/hour
  2. Full health insurance program with major medical.
