The Area Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across multiple Makeready properties (The Greenleigh & The Moran) through proactive sales efforts, strategic account management, and strong client relationships. This role focuses on generating room and group business, growing key accounts, identifying new market opportunities, and positioning each property competitively within its respective market.


This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and partnering with internal teams to ensure every guest experience reflects the distinctive character and service standards of The Greenleigh.


Requested Tasks

  • Generate new business across assigned properties through proactive sales calls, client outreach, site visits, networking, and market research.
  • Manage and grow key corporate, group, and local accounts to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Identify new market segments, business channels, and account opportunities that support room and group revenue growth.
  • Conduct hotel tours, client presentations, and property visits for prospective clients and partners.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline across assigned properties
  • Negotiate business opportunities in alignment with property goals, revenue strategy, and brand expectations.
  • Partner with Convention Services and Catering teams to ensure smooth event planning and execution
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions within sales systems
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the property
  • Support departmental revenue goals and overall hotel sales strategy
  • Adhere to Makeready’s Guiding Principles
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as required


Requested Capabilities

  • Prior experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or business development preferred
  • Experience in group sales, corporate sales, or event sales strongly preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales management systems preferred
  • Professional, polished, and guest-focused demeanor
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the property during client tours and events
  • Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 25 pounds related to sales materials or event setup
