MPP BU Head - Japan

Job Purpose

Strengthen and grow the market position of BU MPP in the country in line with regional/global KPIs of BU MPP utilizing a dedicated workforce, and assuming necessary functional and legal responsibilities (Japan) mostly connected to governance, compliance and external/internal representations in the country.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the MPP business in Japan, including P&L responsibility, to achieve aligned growth and profitability targets.
• Define and execute the local business strategy in line with overall MPP/portfolio strategy, including pricing, product, and market positioning.
• Drive business development with existing and new customers, expand market share, and manage key customer relationships in Japan.
• Steer demand planning, sales forecasting, and pipeline management to secure reliable, profitable volume.
• Coordinate with regional/global functions (e.g., supply chain, marketing, controlling, production/operations) to ensure smooth execution and supply reliability.
• Lead, develop, and manage the local team; build capabilities and ensure team performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, EHS, and legal/regulatory requirements in all business activities.
• Provide support in all strategic projects across MPP business lines in Japan

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above, 10 years of working experience at MNC of Chemical Industry.
• Experienced in guiding and driving the implementation of business strategies /solutions to address complex problems in ambiguous and matrixed environments.
• Strong entrepreneurship with resilience and growth mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with different level of people.
• Good command of English writing and speaking.
